As I have told you before, I had some problems during the booking, there was some missunderstanding about what villa I had booked....In the end >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I did get a refound, though you had charged to much!So I was a little bit surprized over these missunderstandings., November 13, 2009 by Ann-Sophie Lindahl Visit Date:November 11, 2009 Room: Service: Facilities: Location: "I have discussed this with Mr Hellermann already, but to make it short:The bottle of Champagne thas was confirmed to be in our room at arrival was NOT thereThen we have this booking-confusion..?The kitchen, wich is one of the best in Thailand by all standards, must do something about their timing. We were 3 persons, and one of us had to wait all to long for either starters or dessert, it is not acceptable for a kitchen like this to make the custermes wait for more than 25 minutes for the third disch! But however, you do have a faboulus hotel, and I might consider to get back. Now I am enjoying the last two weeks of vacation in Khao lak and Klouang Mouang.Best RegardsAnn-Sophie Lindahl [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Very efficient and very fast. Also you had the cheapest rates. , July 24, 2008 by Nalini Balachandra Visit Date:July 3, 2008 "My husband and I had such a wonderful time at Zeavola. the hotel is absolutely breath-taking. The Thai bangalow style rooms with the optional outdoor shower was such a fabulous experience. I would definitely go back there again and again.... . [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Excellent, even tried it first time. , May 20, 2008 by Marat Savelov Visit Date:May 1, 2008 "Strange hotel with nice beach but nothing else to do and EXTREMELY noisy irrigation system which hits the brain 24hours. Too high prices for the average level of quality you get. We spent 3days in Zaevola and then 3more at PhiPhi Island Village to compare to. Restaurant was very good, though, much better than at PhiPhi, wish some charm and good food (however limited choice of dishes), good but all-the-time-the-same lounge music at beach. SPA prices were too high beyond any reasonable explanation ever. Pool was behind the trees with no seaview from it so not really good and rather small. Rooms were too simple, too authentic-not really comfortable and too dark because of trees all around, with mosquitoes and insects in the trees around. Feels like you live in a jungle village rather than a boutique hotel-even a bit scary. No roads around -you re trapped there if weather is not good to travel a longtail (around 800 bat to town). No seaview even from Hillside rooms-the trees grew up too high. PhiPhi was generally better, except for the restaurant-there it was more like a kanteen, both in terms of food and atmosphere. When we were leaving, the manager waved us good-bye, but never asked if we liked it or not,or what our impression was. Would recommend for a couple of days and ONLY rooms most far from the terribly noisy irrigation system near pond. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
March 18, 2008 by Cristina Visit Date:March 9, 2008 "The rooms at the Zeavola were wonderful. Clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. our bungalow had an attached bathroom, so we didn t need to go outside as some other visitors had complained about in other reviews I read. breakfast was included and was terrific. the thai donuts were tasty and if the buffet spread wasn t enough, you could order from one of 8 or so special breakfasts. The Maharaja was our favorite. Everything was worth the money we paid. The biggest drawback was the number of speed boats that pulled up around noon to bring snorkelers to the resort next door for lunch. When the people were done with lunch around 1, they hovered around the beach area until the speed boats left at 3. We decided to use the pool or head to Jasmine for lunch around this time to avoid the craziness. The Holiday Inn has a Happy Hour from 2-3, 7-8, and 10-11. We frequented the bar there for buy one, get one free beers and local cocktails. On our last night we had a terrible dinner at the Zeavola, but it could be blammed on the fact that new ownership changed over that day...fish was overcooked and inedible and the lobster bisque was all salt (and I love salt, but this was too much). Fill up on breakfast and eat dinner at Jasmine! All in all, I would still go back...loved the resort! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
I asked for an airport transfer and on my booking it was acknowledged, however, when we landed in Krabi no transfer was waiting for us. I had arrange a taxi, a public ferry, and a long tail transfer to our final destination. I wish Sawadee complied my request., March 19, 2008 by Fazal M. Manejwala Visit Date:February 23, 2008 "Zeavola is a beautiful resort. We stayed there 4 d in February in the Garden Suite. The outdoor open area is beautiful but the mosquitoes are killer. We couldn t stay out there for more than a few minutes before these pests drove us indoor. Also the bathroom is out there too so toileting can be a stinging experience." |
As always, excellent !, March 11, 2008 by Ted Visit Date:February 15, 2008 "Very charming, upscale resort on the north end of Phi PhiIsland. Easily accessible by Speed Boat from Phuket or Long Tail from Phi Phi pier.Beautiful beach and attentive staff Great local restaurants just down the beach to comlement the resort restaurants. The Thai style cottages are nice but we have stayed in nicer (sensi Paradise on Ko Tao) at lower prices. While very comfortable, these seem to be a little below the Small Luxury Hotel claim. But overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay at Zeavola. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
Worked fine but the Hotel confirmation email from Sawadee came late, after we arrived to the Hotel. We booked 4 days before., February 8, 2008 by David Visit Date:January 29, 2008 "If you want to go to heaven before you die, go to Zeavola! The Hotel is fantastic. My best vacation ever.Food prices at the Hotel are slightly cheaper than Europe but expensive to be in Thailand. Food is very good!Negative:They speak poor english. Some mosquitos and bugs in the bungalow. " |
Very good, fast reply... We rely on sawadee.com for all our booking in Thailand, all where fine with sawadee.com!, December 19, 2007 by Aldo & Magali / Switzerland Visit Date:December 10, 2007 "Zeavola is a very nice hotel, very expensive too (4:3 package @ 12900THB/night 2nd week december pariod). The room are very big and nice. We had a garden view room, but all rooms are visible from the very nice sanded path allowing to join all rooms, so you are never really alone. The beach is very nice BUT NOT PRIVATE, each day 5 to 8 speedboat full of Tourist stop 20meter from the Zeavola beach with ca. 40 to 80 people who can access the zeavola beach space. This mean that from 11:00 am till 15:00 pm you really can t be quiet. This was a shame and we had to leave 2 days (of 4) the beach to go to our room to be quiet! For that price it s absolutely not normal!!! By the way we had a very cold welcome by the Baxil Restaurant staff, who s offer very nice dishes. The breakfast is just beautiful, as you have choice beetween near than 10 different breakfast style, plus buffet with fresh fruits, breads & croissants and so many things you can t just taste all in one breakfast!!! Great time anyway.. But for that kind of price we expected much more from the service and the staff... By example we d liked to take breakfast in our room, but this wasn t possible!!! Only if you go and take food from the restaurant and back to you room by yourself... BE CAREFULL!!!! We asked for a transfert to Tonsai pier (8:00 am) to take Ferry to Krabi... The hotel charged us 650THB (was 800 THB to come from Tonsai pier by longtail boat to Zeavola)... But this price reduction was not as generous as it seems to be... As the boat had to stop 250meter from the beach due to lake of water on the other side of the pier!!! We had to transport or 20Kg luggage by ourself... This was incredible for an Hotel of this price and class !!! By the way, if we tooked the other side of the island to go to the pier, the boat could go to the beach directly... This mean that if you have to take a longtail to go back to Tonsai Pier, ask to go by the side where the zeavola beach is and not by the backside of the hotel! We had anyway good time there, but we expected really much from this place, the price is really to expensive for that kind of services! I suspect that as we had a 4:3 package and lower rate than the hotel website ones we got a lower quality room and services! So be carefull, you better go by yourself and deal price when you arrive! If I can give you another counsel.. Don t go to Koh Phi Phi if you d like a quiet stay... Or if you want to leave the touristic path.. You better go elsewhere than Koh Phi Phi or Koh Lanta... There many other island much better and more quiet! [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |

August 19, 2007 by DANIEL ANTOLIN Visit Date:August 14, 2007 "A great hotel for relaxing. Teak villas are beautiful and service is charming. The hotel is the north of Phi-phi Don island, so you only can arrive to the hotel by boat. No many bars or pubs in the area. If you want to have a good time in paradise, just book at Zeavola. Thank you, BOY (nurse of Zeavola). [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]" |
